Polio Appeal

Rotary started the battle to End Polio in the world in 1979

The World Health Organisation and Centres for Disease Control joined in 1988 and as of today we are 99% of the way in this campaign. Now the largest non-military army in history fights to win the final battle

Eradicating Polio will be one of the most significant public health accomplishments in history and we are committed to helping reach that goal with Rotary as one of our key partners

Bill Gates Cochair, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

The foundation donated $ 355million and challenged Rotary to meet it with $200 Million
during 2008-2012
